A parabolic antenna designed to receive or transmit information by radio waves to or from a communication satellite. Consumers use the dish to receive direct broadcast satellite television from a direct-broadcast satellite in geostationary orbit. The dish, because of its parabolic shape collects the signal into a smaller area and delivers it to the LNBF (Low Noise Block/Feed horn) which receives signal directly from the atmosphere.
From the LNB on the dish, runs a coaxial cable to the receiver set-top box (decoder) through which control signals are transmitted as well as the LNB DC power.
